Food & Restaurants

Being Asians, we love food.
Living in a multi ethnic society, there are heaps of ethnic restaurants and choices of food. What really intrigues me is that each restaurant has its own Restaurant System that is unique and efficient in its own way.
I particularly like the hawker stalls, not just for its food, but the way their system works. As the waiter hands you over the food, he also collects the cash. I’m not sure if that just works in Southeast Asia , but I do like the way the idea works.
Hammock Stands

Kids are going to have their school holidays in March. Schenker has been asking about planning a picnic at our garden. I have been thinking of some ideas, and just recently I got these beautiful logs to beautify the garden. They look absolutely stunning.
Returning from school, Schenker was surprised to see the logs nicely decorated in the garden. I think I am going to get a hammock stand in the garden to compliment the logs so the kids can have a picnic in the garden. I am sure the kids are going to be thrilled to play games, and have some nice cookies and drinks during their fun play in the garden.
I can’t wait to organize the picnic. It’s going to be lots of fun!
House Makeover

I like cozy homes. There is something about them that makes you feel good. The atmosphere, colours, lightings and the scents adds value to how we feel about life.
We live in a cozy home, at least I think so. When we feel like adding or changing the atmosphere of the home, we would take a drive to IKEA to get some ideas and even buy stuff that would make the home beautiful. Since we love decorating the home, we would do anything to make our house look cozy. In fact, I have been thinking about making some changes to our home, and I think I might need to get some industrial supply to do a major makeover at my home.
I can’t wait to look for some ideas for my home.
Being You

If the world was full of doctors, who would be the patients? If the world was full of lawyers, who will be the clients? If the world was full of teachers, who are the students? And the list just goes on. We have different dreams because everyone is different. Students always want to have a glamorous, famous-sounding profession when they are older.
But we cannot all dream the same dreams, or go through the same courses. We could study wire management because we are fascinated with wires, or be a social worker because of our passions, or be an astronaut because we want to reach the stars.
Our differences are what make us tick, they define each of us. So, let us not compare people or ask why we are not like her/him. This is just a very simple lesson we need to learn and pass on, because sometimes we tend to forget it and most of the time, we just mold ourselves to be like other people.
Free iPad2 Games

I and my husband got an iPad2 as our birthday present from my parents-in-law. It was really very sweet of them to give us an iPad. But I’m the one using it more than my husband.
The kids have a chance to play with it from time to time. One day, my 5-year old daughter told me: “Look Mummy, I show you how to download free games on your iPad.” LOL. Kids nowadays are smart like that.
I don’t believe in letting them use my tablet computer all the time. However, letting them use it for educational purposes for a certain period of time is healthy.
I hope to keep it this way.
