One of the joys of traveling is to set foot on different airports. There is something in airports that bring sheer excitement. Of course, an airport can mean that you are about to get into another country or region, which could mean that you are in for another ultimate adventure. On the other hand, it could mean that you are about to leave a place and go to another! So, yes, I think that what makes airports special.
There are some airports that are so strict with what you bring on your baggage. Some airports have such a tight security that they have to invest in the best metal detectors.

I wonder where I would be traveling this year? Most of my trips I did not even plan when a year starts. They are just surprises that come along the way. So, I guess I will just get ready when another surprise comes up! Am I excited? You bet!

Me, the Foodie

One thing that I love about travelling aside from taking photos of new places and sights, is tasting new food. I am quite adventurous with food, and I just marvel at the diversity of tastes from country to country. Living in a country with diverse cultures, my taste buds have easily adopted to Chinese food and Indian curry. Since I have also lived in Thailand for a few years, I do miss the spicy Thai cuisine and crave for it from time to time.

I don’t know if being a foodie would qualify me for Food Service Jobs. But I guess this kind of job would require training, and is not just about food tasting. A sufficient knowledge in food and its nutritional value would also be needed, which I don’t have.

Christmas Wish

When everyone else is giving and exchanging gifts, I am wishing, just wishful thinking, to receive a pretty bouquet from my husband or from just any of my friends. There are ProFlowers coupons via Facebook that can be availed of. That means flowers and bouquets will be sold at discounted prices.

Receiving flowers is actually quite uncommon during the holiday season as most would give other things than flowers. But if this wish won’t come true this Christmas, there’s still Valentine’s Day come February, and time flies so fast, so in just a couple of weeks from now, who knows I might receive one.

Living the Fast Pace

One thing I noticed about the different generations are that the younger generations start everything early. Kids , nowadays, go to school when they are 2 or even younger, they are trained to swim at 6 months, they are given gadgets, which I do not have, when they turn 10, at 13 most of them are in a relationship, some of them are pregnant at 16, and they start working. Maybe they are trying to outdo the older generation and try to be more advanced and live life faster.

At this rate, they would need to buy their own life insurance earlier, just to be prepared. Sometimes, I wish they would not grow up this fast and just retain their innocence but because of media, we can only filter the messages they send but not completely shield the children from it.

This week is truly an exciting week for us, we have friends and family who are with us to reach out to the Mokens. The other day, we went to Koh Rhoa, the island has the biggest Moken population.

We had an early Christmas show for the kids, two of my clown friends did a skit on Jesus’ birth and how He is a gift in our lives. Afterwards, we played with them and we all had fun. I was wondering whether next time we could do an arts and craft session with them like paper mache, Beads, origami and other simple things.
